According to the personality theory we follow, all mental functions are so interweaved that, normally, no one activity whatsoever, be it subjective or overt, might disclose which part each one is playing. However, in the psychic structure, some of such functions are of utmost importance and some are dependent on the former, thus evolving a functional hierarchy. This results in psychical systems, working harmoniously and assembled into larger units, the three personality spheres. Correlate to these composite units are the cortical areas and paths, already evidenced by neurophysiology, and cerebral regions, respectively. Hence, by resorting to psychic dynamics, and the neurophysiologic and anatomo-clinical data, we may recognize the frontal lobe functions \u2013 concrete and abstract observation, inductive and deductive thinking, communication \u2013 as well as their conative and affective regulation, which imply parieto-temporal, parieto-occipital, and occipital dynamisms. We single out here communication\u2019s disorders linked to parieto-temporal foci: nominal, \u201camnestic\u201d, and sensorial aphasia (1 patient of each), meaning failure of abstract thinking; paraphasia and schizophasia (1 o each) by added liberation of speech; palilalia (1), by perseveration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assim, recorrendo \u00e0 din\u00e2mica ps\u00edquica, e aos dados neurofisiol\u00f3gicos e an\u00e1tomo-cl\u00ednicos, podemos reconhecer as fun\u00e7\u00f5es do lobo frontal \u2013 observa\u00e7\u00e3o concreta e abstrata, elabora\u00e7\u00e3o indutiva e dedutiva, comunica\u00e7\u00e3o \u2013 bem como a sua regula\u00e7\u00e3o conativa e afetiva, que implica dinamismos parieto-temporais, parieto-occipitais e occipitais.
